WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21

8:00 AM: Buses leave Fairfield County (location TBD)

2:00 PM: Buses arrive at hotel

3:00 PM: Opening Prayer/Welcome Activities

5:00 PM: Dinner

7:00 PM: Pre-Rally activities (TBD)


THURSDAY, JANUARY 22

YOUTH MASS AND RALLY FOR LIFE AT THE VERIZON CENTER

7:00 AM: Teen Buses arrive at Verizon Center. All youth and chaperones please proceed directly to Section 108 as soon as the doors open.

7:30 AM: Rally featuring popular Catholic recording artists: Steve Angrisano, Matt Maher, Jessica Marie Tous and the Who Do You Say I Am band.

8:00 AM: Reconciliation available.

9:30 AM: Rosary for Life.

10:00 AM: Mass celebrated by Washington Archbishop Donald W. Wuerl with bishops and priests from around the nation.

11:30 AM: Depart Verizon Center and walk to the Museum of Natural History.


DIOCESE OF BRIDGEPORT PILGRIMS' PRAYER SERVICE

12:30 PM: All Diocese of Bridgeport groups meet at the steps in front of the Museum of Natural History.

12:30 PM: Lunch on the steps of the Museum of Natural History.

12:45 PM: Welcome: Msgr. Ernest Esposito, Respect Life Director.

12:50 PM: Enriching the Parish:  Fr. Greg Markey, Pastor, St. Mary’s Parish in Norwalk

1:00 PM: Teen Witness, TBD

1:05 PM: 2009 March for Life Address: Bishop William Lori

1:15 PM: Rosary: Led by the Gospel of Life

JOINING THE MARCH FOR LIFE

1:30 PM: March to the Supreme Court and Capitol.

3:30 PM: Buses leave from Stanton Park and will stop for dinner on the way home.

11:00 PM: Approximate arrival.


Instructions for Chaperones and Teen Participants

  • The cost of transportation for the Extended Teen Pilgrimage is $100. This includes trnasportation, hotel, most meals, and all pilgrimage activities.

  • Every participant, including adults, must have a signed liability form (download the PDF above).  Please send all forms and money to Mimi Giannino at the Catholic Center, 238 Jewett Avenue, Bridgeport CT 06606.

  • Please bring money for lunch on January 21st and snacks to share. 

  • All chaperones must be VIRTUS trained and background checked.

  • Chaperones must remain with youth at all times.

  • The Verizon Center fills up very quickly on the 22nd and seats are limited on a first come, first serve basis. In an effort to guarantee seats for all participants from the Diocese of Bridgeport and in order to stay together at the rally and throughout the course of the day, kindly follow these instructions: 

    • When the buses arrive at the Verizon Center, please exit the buses and proceed directly through the doors at the Verizon Center. 

    • If the doors are not open to the Verizon Center yet, kindly wait in line to enter.  Do not depart the Verizon Center for any reason once the buses have arrived. 

    • When the doors open, proceed directly to section 108 after going through security.  Please claim your seat before using the restroom because seats will be very hard to save. 

  • Small backpacks, signs, and banners are allowed inside, but poles and larger signs must be stored in a lobby area.
