ONGOING IN 2004
January
- May, 2004
573 Ogden St., Bridgeport
Habitat for Humanity Project
Jubilee
House is under construction at 573 Ogden Street on the East Side
of Bridgeport. Catholics young and old in all 87 parishes throughout
Fairfield County will be invited to participate in the building project.
Completion
is scheduled for May 2004, the formal end of the Golden Jubilee celebration
in the Diocese.
The
effort is in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bridgeport,
an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a Christian housing
ministry that builds simple, decent houses for families in need. The
Bridgeport affiliate has been in operation for 18 years.
It takes heart,
hands, financial and material resources and many hours to build a house,
but it takes love to make a Home.
Make a monetary
donation on behalf of the Parish or as a family!
Contribute professional expertise and materials!
Organize a Fundraiser in your Parish (Ministries making a difference!)!
Volunteer on-site individually or as a Parish Habitat Team on Mondays,
Wednesdays or Saturdays only, each week from 8:00am - 3:00pm.
