We hope to provide new resources and opportunities that address, enable and enhance Marriage Preparation, Natural Family Planning, and Marriage Enrichment programming as well as support group ministries for Separated and Divorced, Bereavement Outreach, and Catholic Parenting.

Family Life Ministry's overall goal is to promote and support healthy, happy, whole, and Holy marriages and families.


Marriage Preparation

There are two options available that fulfill the Diocesan requirements for marriage preparation:
  1. Diocesan Marriage Preparation (Two Day Program)
    To participate, fill out the registration form below.
  2. Engaged Encounter Weekend
    (for more information, please visit us at http://www.engagedencounter.org )
     
A Spanish Language Marriage Preparation Program is available.

Please read before proceeding to registration form:

  1. You may register for either of the above programs after you have contacted your Parish Priest or Deacon. It is important for you to work with your Parish Priest or Deacon to decide which marriage preparation program is best for you.
     
  2. Most parishes recommend that you contact them at least 6 months in advance of your planned wedding day. Classes fill-up quickly, please plan accordingly in advance of your wedding day. There is a limited class size and those that delay in registering may not get the classes of their choice.
     
  3. One member of the engaged couple must be a registered member of a parish in the Diocese of Bridgeport to participate in our Marriage Preparation program.
     
  4. This is a two day program. You may register for any Day 1 and any Day 2 BUT Day 1 must be taken before Day 2.
     
  5. The dates presented below are the only dates planned for the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012. If they do not coincide with your schedule, please contact your Parish Priest or Deacon to discuss an alternative marriage preparation process.
