THE FIRST GRADUATING CLASS of Cathedral Girls’ High School—The class of 1968 is planning a 50th reunion. We were a small group with the school literally being built around us in the fall of 1964. A DAY WITH MARY, a one-day retreat will be offered by the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, Sat., April 30, at Sacred Heart Parish, Danbury. AL’S ANGELS needs volunteers to help assist members of Temple Israel, Westport, in wrapping holiday gifts on Sun., May 1, at 10:30 am. This special day is devoted to provide Temple members the ability to perform good deeds in helping the human family. We will be providing the gifts, wrapping paper & tags. SYRIAN ARCHBISHOP to speak in New Haven on Christian Genocide: Melkite Catholic Archbishop Jean Clément Jeanbart of Aleppo, Syria, will speak on the genocide being waged against his people and the future of Christianity in the Middle East at St. Mary Church, 5 Hillhouse Ave., New Haven, on Sun., May 1, at 6:30 pm. The event will be sponsored by St. Mary's and the Knights of Columbus. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. The Knights of Columbus began its Christian Refugee Relief Fund in 2014 to aid persecuted Christians and other religious minorities, especially in Iraq and Syria. THE SHRINE OF LOURDES IN LITCHFIELD, 50 Montfort Rd., Rte. 118, Litchfield, begins its Pilgrimage Season on Sun., May 1. Mass is celebrated Tuesday through Sunday at 11:30 am outside in the Grotto. FAIRFIELD PREP ANNOUNCES $25,000 Tuition Raffle. The prize can be used for any K-12 schools, colleges or universities, located and accredited in the U.S., or to pay back college loans. SACRED HEART ACADEMY ANNOUNCES open auditions for male actors for the upcoming fall production of Disney’s full length musical, The Little Mermaid.
