SYNOD HOLY HOUR WITH GUEST AUTHOR & SPEAKER FR. ANDREW APOSTILI - Bishop Caggiano has entrusted the success of our Diocesan Synod to Our Lady of Fatima.  With that in mind, Fr. Andrew Apostoli will be delivering a talk about the significance of Fatima for our times on Tues., Feb. 3 from 7-8pm at Our Lady of Assumption Parish, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield. Fr. Apostoli is an author and cofounder of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and makes frequent appearances on EWTN. Join us for this powerful evening of fellowship, prayer and reflection.  Fr. LIVING THEOLOGY WORKSHOP "Become Who You Are: Women, Baptism and the Post-Vatican II Church" given by Rita Ferrone, award-winning writer and internationally recognized leader in the Roman Catholic Church for her pioneering efforts in the area of adult Christian Initiation. AL’S ANGELS EASTER & PASSOVER BASKET ASSEMBLY
- Open to all - will take place Sat., Mar. 28 from 7:30am-2pm at St. Matthew Parish, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk to assemble over 2000 Easter and Passover gift baskets for children and families battling cancer, rare blood diseases and severe financial hardship. SYNOD YOUTH CONSULTATION SESSION
will be Apr. 11 at St. Joseph High School, Trumbull from 10am-12noon. This is a youth session for high school teens, only adults who are chaperoning will have clearance. All persons must have a ticket to enter at the door! All adult chaperones must be Virtus trained and background checked and registered. No adults will be accepted at the door who are not pre-cleared chaperones.  All youth and adults who have attended a previous session, do not need to fill out another liability form. NATIONAL CATHOLIC YOUTH CONFERENCE "Here I am Lord" - with our own Bishop Caggiano! Nov. 19-21, 2015 in Indianapolis.  PARISHES - start planning now!  Click here for video from Bishop Caggiano.  NCYC is an exciting, biennial three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperones. Keynote addresses, concurrent and workshop sessions addressing a wide variety of topics, as well as liturgy, reconciliation, prayer and worship, recreation and special activities such as concerts, exhibits, and the interactive thematic park. Open to high school age young people and their chaperones. Most participants are Catholic. Many youth participants are leaders in their local parishes, schools and/or diocese, though many are just beginning to connect to their faith.
