Online Giving
The Annual Bishop's Appeal offers the opportunity to make your gift and pledge payments online. Click here to donate.
Credit Card Gifts
You can use your MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express card to make your Appeal gift, and take full advantage of your cardmember benefits.
Pledge Your Gift
If possible, please include your first month's payment when you mail your gift card envelope. An early commitment of a pledge will allow a monthly payment plan. An invoice will be sent the first week of every month. Donors are asked to complete their pledge within the same calendar year or by December 31.
Outright Gifts
Checks should be made payable to the "Annual Bishop's Appeal" and given to your Pastor in your gift card envelope, or mailed directly to:

Gifts of Securities
A gift of appreciated stock is an easy way to make a significant contribution at a reduced cost to you. Please note: If you are making a gift to the Annual Bishop's Appeal in the form of stock securities, please make sure you complete and return a donor transfer form so your gift is properly credited to your account. Does Your Company Have a Matching Gift Program?
Matching Gifts May Double or Triple Your Appeal Donation!
Matching Gifts can be a great way to double or even triple your gift to the 2011 Beacon of Hope Annual Bishop’s Appeal. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses!
| Step One | Contact your Human Resource or Benefits Department to find out if your company has a company Matching Gift Program. | |
| Step Two | Learn how your company's Matching Gift Program works. Does your company require a minimum donation amount? Will they match 1:1? You can turn a $25 donation into $50! Do they match gifts made to religious organizations? Important some companies will not donate to religious organizations but may donate to Catholic Charities of Fairfield County or the Cathedral Education Cluster. If your company qualifies, please make your gift payment payable to Catholic Charities or the Cathedral Education Cluster and remit the payments to the Appeal Office. | Step Three | Find out how your company wants you to submit your matching gift. Companies have various methods by which you can submit your matching gift request: online forms, automated phone systems, or a paper form that you submit to the Annual Bishop’s Appeal when you turn in your donation. | |
| Step Four | Fill out your matching gift application and return with your donation and pledge card by mail or during Beacon of Hope Weekend at your parish. | |
The advantages of using matching gifts are:

- You help continue serving the poor and disadvantaged, provide for on-going catechetical ministries, enable Catholic education, and assist our retired priests and offer ongoing development for Clergy
