Job Title: Program Support
Worker, New Covenant House of Hospitality, Stamford
New Covenant House of Hospitality, Catholic Charities' soup
kitchen in Stamford, has an immediate opening for a Program Support
Worker.
Hours: Full Time

Covenant House of Hospitality, Stamford
Brief Summary
of Responsibilities: The program support
worker’s primary responsibility is to provide overall support
to New Covenant House and its operations on a daily basis.
Monitor the dining area and guest activity during all meals ensuring
that our guests’ follow the guidelines set forth by New Covenant
House administration. Supports fulltime cook in the planning
and preparation of meals for Afterschool Program. Prepare
meals when full and part-time cooks are not available.
Skills and
Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
Possess or obtain Connecticut Food Handler’s Certificate. Demonstrates
computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Has an interest in working in soup kitchen environment with a
diverse population, with varied needs.

Job Title: Enrichment Coordinator, McGivney Community Center, Bridgeport
The McGivney Community
Center seeks an Enrichment Coordinator.
10 month position: September
– June, 3:00 –5:30pm, Monday – Thursday, (w/ some Fridays)
Salary:
Per Hour salary based upon experience.
General Function: Coordinator will be responsible
for the coordination, implementation, and supervision of all
enrichment activities for after school members in grades 1 –
8. The intent is that academic concepts are taught through a
fun, engaging activity rather than by direct instruction with
a large focus in Science and Math. Coordinator will maintain
order and supervision of children while providing a positive
learning environment and promoting self-esteem and confidence.
Objectives of the Enrichment Room are as follows:
- To provide a safe, supervised, learning environment where
children can work on daily enrichment activities in ways that
differ from the methods used during the school day.
- To offer interactive and project-focused
activities to enhance a child’s education.
- To offer activities that are fun, but are also conducive
to academic development.
The specific duties and responsibilities of this position:
- Maintain order and discipline of children while in the enrichment
room.
- Coordinate with Program Directors and manage program direction.
- Keep records and prepare reports as needed.
- Assist in the recruitment of program participants.
Qualifications: College education, background
in Science and Math, supervisory experience, experience working
with children, good communication skills, ability to work with
a diverse population, and good organizational and record keeping.
