Job Title: Payroll Services Manager, Diocese of Bridgeport
There is an opening for a Payroll Services Manager in the Finance Services department of the Diocese of Bridgeport, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer
Hours and Days: Full time, Monday-Friday

Brief summary of duties:
- Responsible for all aspects of the payroll function, including the timely submission and distribution of payroll for 450 employees from numerous decentralized locations, using the Paychex Preview payroll software.
- Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure proper authorization and timely processing of personnel and payroll changes
- Ensure proper adherence to federal and state payroll regulations and company personnel policies.
- Prepare journal entries to reconcile to general ledger
- Manage employee payroll deductions and ensure timely payment to government and other outside entities
- Calculate wage garnishments and ensure proper deductions to outside entities
- Manage 403b account enrollments and terminations
- Review quarterly and year end payroll tax returns and reconcile to general ledger
- Track employee time off balances and report to department heads
- Act as liaison to elementary school payroll administrators. Monitor and record payroll transfers to and from schools corporation payroll bank account.
- Prepare reports as required for Human Resources, Finance Services and other internal and external departments.
Minimum requirements (skills, education, years of experience, licenses, etc.):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3-5 years experience with the payroll function
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Paychex payroll software a plus

Job Title: Director of Adult Formation, Office for Pastoral Services, Diocese of Bridgeport
There is an opening for a Director of Adult Formation in the Office for Pastoral Services of the Diocese of Bridgeport, reporting to Sister Alejandra Keen and Sister Ana Montoya
Hours and Days: Full time, 40 hours, five days a week

Brief summary of duties: Directly supervises and is responsible for:
- Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults:
- Planning and carrying out all Diocesan aspects of the RCIA process from assisting and offering on-going formation to parish RCIA coordinators, to the planning major events.
- Adult Confirmation: Planning and carrying out all aspects of the Adult Confirmation program, including classes, retreats and rehearsals.
- Administration of the Saint Cyril of Jerusalem School.
- Assists in other Adult Formation Programs such as the St. Augustine Lecture Series and other major events for adult formation, such as the Catechetical and Missionary Congresses.
- Plans, coordinates, and facilitates workshops for RCIA teams.
- Plans, coordinates and is the master of ceremonies for the annual enrichment series of Why Be Catholic.
- Plans, coordinates and directs the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion.
- Plans, coordinates, and supervises the RCIA Retreat.
- Plans coordinates, and maintains the Adult Confirmation Refresher Course.
- Plans, coordinates, and directs the Adult Confirmation Mass on Pentecost Sunday.
- Organizes the Fall, Spring and Summer ongoing catechetical courses of Saint Cyril of Jerusalem School, coordinates classes with faculty, develops course content and keeps track of the pre-registration and attendance of students, contacts the students that need to finish classes, manages correspondence, and creates brochures, sets up instructors with locations of classes. Sends attendance lists to the hosting parishes and prepares blurbs for bulletin announcements to parishes in the town where the classes will be held.
- Expands the Saint Cyril of Jerusalem program both in English and Spanish by offering new courses and creating on-line courses.
- Supervises the development of the Saint Cyril of Jerusalem Spanish Program.
- Monitors implementation of all programs and accompanies administrative details.
- Carries out all pre and post publicity for all programs, including bulletin announcements, BRIDGE announcements, Fairfield County Catholic and diocesan website.
- Works with the Director of the Office for Worship on liturgies, schedules and prepares lectors (English and Spanish) and deacons at all liturgies, plans and coordinates music for liturgical celebrations with organists, musicians, etc.
- Every other year coordinates all aspects for the Graduation Ceremony and certificates of the St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catechetical School.
- Weekly prepares Bulletin inserts on the Sunday Readings, fostering the deepening and implementation of the Pastoral Plan for Evangelization.
- Manages the budget for the department expenses.
Minimum requirements (skills, education, years of experience, licenses, etc.):
- Educational background in Theology or pastoral ministry, a Masters degree is preferred.
- Candidate must have excellent organizing skills to plan, coordinate, and carry out varied classes, retreats, liturgies and events.
- Must be a detail-oriented person able to handle multiple tasks in a given period of time.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, and able to work on deadline.
- Excellent writing skills for advertising and newspaper articles are necessary.
- Must be comfortable in public speaking and presenting.
- Must have a pleasant, cordial manner in communicating with parish and diocesan personnel.
- Must be able to exercise pastoral prudence in dealing with sensitive or confidential issues with parishes and individuals.
- A thorough grasp of the process of Christian Initiation, and a solid knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Faith is absolutely required
- Five years or more of experience as an RCIA director, catechist, or team member preferred.
- Excellent PC skills; solid grasp of database administration and understanding of the technology required to offer on-line courses.

Brief summary of duties: The Coordinator for Catholic Alumni Partnership will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of Catholic Alumni Partnership for all of our Catholic schools in the Diocese of Bridgeport. The candidate will report directly to the Development and Communications for the Office for Education. The goal of the Coordinator for Catholic Alumni Partnership will be to initiate and manage all aspects of the Catholic Alumni Partnership initiative and work with the schools and vendors to implement and roll-out this program as well as a long-term alumni marketing and development plan at each of our 33 elementary schools in the Diocese of Bridgeport. This is currently a one year position funded by a grant that if successful may be renewed.
