The Catholic Center, 238 Jewett Avenue, is in the North End of Bridgeport
and lies between Main Street and Madison Avenue. It is about 3/4 mile
north of Saint Vincent's Medical Center.
FROM THE MERRIT PARKWAY
Traveling East: Take Exit 48 (Main Street, Route #25); turn right onto
Main Street (southbound)
Traveling West: Take Exit 48 (Main Street, Route #25); at the end of the
ramp (stop light) turn left onto Main Street (southbound)
Then
proceed down Main Street to the ninth traffic light and turn right
(at Subway Sandwich Shop). This is Jewett Avenue. The
Catholic Center is about 2/3 of the way down this block on your right.
FROM THE CONNECTICUT TURNPIKE (I95)
Traveling
East or West: Take Exit 27A onto Route 8-25 Expressway.
Take the 2nd exit (Lindley Street) off the Expressway.
Turn
left off the exit ramp onto Lindley Street and go one block to traffic
light (Capitol Avenue), then turn left onto Capitol Avenue
Go four blocks on Capitol Avenue to next traffic light (Main Street)
and turn right onto Main St. Proceed up Main Street to the fifth traffic light at five-corner intersection.
Jewett Avenue is a left turn at this intersection. The Catholic
Center is about 2/3 of the way down this block on your right.
