The Development Office helps to raise the financial resources needed by the Diocese of Bridgeport to operate ministries and services which include Catholic Schools, Catholic Charities, Saint John Fisher Seminary Residence, and many others. The Development Office works with parishes each year to raise capital funds and increase offertories.

The Living Our Faith Annual Bishop's Appeal is the single largest source of revenue for the diocese and its ministries. Each year, the 87 parishes participate in the fund-raiser. Parishioners are encouraged to make a ten-month pledge.

The Development Office established a Planned Giving Program to provide parishioners with valuable estate planning concepts and to explain how to be charitable when planning their estates through wills, annuities, and other charitable vehicles.
